Skate Park Sept. 2011 Featuring Chris Cuevas

I have a few friends that still frequent the skate parks. One such friend, Chris Cuevas, is also a photographer and helped me figure out some things on my camera. The day was coming to an end so I had low lighting issues and he helped me with the settings. I had a lot of fun but I wasn't being very serious so some of the pictures are "different" meaning that most people probably wouldn't like them, but I do so that's what matters at the moment.
Enjoy. XOXOXO

Introducing, Chris Cuevas!

I love the shots where they look like they are suspended in the air.
This guy. He took his shirt off shortly after I pulled out my camera and would wait to do a trick until I was looking in his direction. I thought this was funny, Chris said it was because I had a camera and that he just wanted to have his picture taken while doing a sweet trick. There were no sweet tricks captured, sorry dude.

I love how the blue and lime green grab your eye in this one.
 Frank, taking it easy.
Chris' board was a very pretty blue.

This one is one of my favorites.

It looks like he is snowboarding!
Leap Frog any one?

Solving the world's problems.
Yes, these are my appendages. No, they are not good skaters. I just stood on the board and believe it or not, the wind started pushing me!

Fun with Photoshop

My Dad challenged me to play with photoshop and after about a hour, this is what I came up with. I realized later that some of pictures need a little more work and will do that and post them later.
Enjoy. XOXOXO

Out at the Park

The weather was beautiful so we went to the park for dinner and brought the puppy along, too. She loved being outside so much that we had to force her to sit and lay down on the blanket.
Enjoy.

Eustace, Texas

For the Labor Day weekend I was in Eustace, Texas for a quilt retreat. The scenery was beautiful and I enjoyed waking up early and walking the path, looking out for deer and other animals. The weather there was wonderful and on the last day I actually had to wear a long sleeved flannel shirt for my walk.

On my way home, I stopped in at a small state park and enjoyed the breeze and sun while walking along the shore of a small lake. I do not have a UV filter for my camera yet so most of the pictures from the lake came out too bright and looked very over exposed. I was able to save some of them, though.

I hope you enjoy, I will post some of the wonderful quilts later.
XOXOXO
